WHAT ARE WE BECOMING?
We have bigger homes & smaller families.
We have more conveniences, but less time.
More degrees, but less common sense.
More experts, & yet more problems.
More medicine, but less wellness.
Read too little, and watch too much TV.
Talk too much, but listen too little.
We are quick to anger, but slow to forgive.
We preach more about Jesus, but behave less like him.
We pray for help, but never stop to listen.
Love too little & lie too much.
We have learned how to make a living, but not a life.
We have added years to life, but have added no life to our years.
Buy more, but enjoy less.
Conquered outer space, but not inner space.
We have learned to split atoms, but not our prejudice.
Plan more, but accomplish less.
Learned to rush, but not to wait.
We have higher incomes, but less morals.
We have increased quantity, and reduced quality.
Created more kinds of food, but less nutrition.
Two incomes, but more divorce.
Fancier houses, but more broken homes.
We blame others for the very things we are guilty of (over spending…)
Something to feel about.

THAT'S TRUE FOR YOU The reason so many of us never TRULY come to KNOW God, is because we can never become quiet enough to hear his voice. Even using the word "His" as a description somehow moves me away from the connection to this beautiful completeness that we call GOD. For God IS life, and life is always speaking to us, yet we never hear. It is only in the stillness, in the quiet spaces between breaths and thought, only then do we get a glimpse into its awesome perfection and completeness.
This is why I believe religion has it so heartbreakingly wrong. So many churches would have us believe that this connection is exclusive and only available to them, and to those whom they chose. Basically, we will do the connecting and interpreting for you, and then explain it all in more basic terms that you, the lay-person can understand, on Sunday. This is in my opinion the ultimate blasphemy. Not only that, but it is absolutely ridiculous. To think that anyone having this experience can somehow explain it, and by doing so can cause another to have the same experience. This would be like trying to explain an orgasm to someone who has never had one. I'm sure you would agree, hearing about one and experiencing one are not the same. You can think all you want, but an experience can only be experienced, not explained. If we are to accept anyone's intervention, we can never have the relationship that is our very entitlement. Never forget, this connection is not exclusive. It is available and waiting on everyone who choses to listen to its Divine influence and guidance.
